Pasted on front endpaper is the original printed note from the author, with errata. Armorial book plate pasted on rear endpaper of Ralph Bates Esqr. 6th Dragoons. 1787. Probably the original owner. Small demy octavo. Rare in this state with the original errata slip. Printed for and Sold by the Author and the Booksellers. Price 7s.6p., London 1776. Very scarce. 44 detailed maps; describing the 400 mile route from London to Edinburgh. With interesting descriptive text including The Post-Stages, Distance, Horse and Chaise Hire, charges, Northern Flys, Diligences, Post-Coaches from London, Inns, Fares etc.etc. according to the latest Regulations.
