Robert Hills (1769-1844) was a noted painter of animals, chiefly deer, sheep, and cattle, and probably the most prolific etcher of the same. 783 FIGURES ON 433 PLATES IN TOTAL. Over the past 30 years, Hills etchings have rarely appeared at auction; mostly these have been small selections of the total. The quality of Hill's work is quite outstanding. A complete collection such as this is rarely encountered.
