The two volumes in the original blue cloth, with maps of the author's journey on the upper covers, top edges gilt. The bindings are lightly rubbed, a,d slightly discoloured at base of spine. Label of Royal United Service Institute on ep.and single light four digit number on titles. Apart from these unfortunate blemishes, the contents are bright and clean. A cheaper copy of the first edition. Rare to find this work in it's original state with all maps, original endpapers etc. There is a considerable amount of hunting in this work.
