Many fine engraved plates, some folding. Contemporary calf, panelled spines with labels, gilt borders. The spines 7 hinges have been neatly strengthened, but do show some rubbing and fraying of the original binding. A very good example of this extensive and famous treatise, the contents of which are near perfect. Volume 2 is totally devoted to angling - 592 pages, with many plates of fish, fishing scenes and tackle. It does contain the folding plate of a pig pointing at game, his owner with gun at the ready! This plate is often missing.
