ANDERSSON, C.J.
THE OKAVANGO RIVER. A narrative of travel, exploration and adventure.
1861
17 engraved plates, including the vignette half title. Original gilt and blind decorated cloth, corners slightly bruised, spine professionally strengthened, portrait title and title slightly foxed. Margin of leaf p125/126 roughly opened, not affecting text, lower edge of plate at p205 frayed, but repaired.
This is a very good copy in the original state, of the very rare first UK edition, published by Hurst and Blackett, London. The first U.S. edition was published the same year - with a folding map - and is much more common.
